December 16, 2013

Oi!  The work in our area was pretty great this week. Last week I told you about what I said in the Ward Council Meeting about not working without the members. Well since then our numbers with Member Presents has shot up to the sky. Its really great here and I absolutely LOVE the members! Elder Bond said that there are some really sad members in Bayeux now that I left...that was touching.

But eveything was going great throughout the week. We marked 7 baptisms but then Sunday came along. We confirmed Saturday that they would visit Church but Sunday Morning before Stake Conference, ALL THE BAPTISM MARKS fell through...We went down to nothing. Talk about a blow. So what did we do? That afternoon we went on a contacting hunt. We found 7 new investigators and marked 4 baptism in 2 hours. Talk about nice. And then we received a miracle referral from a member who she be baptized here soon. Talk about testimony builder Mom. So it was a good week.

Elder Motley

Elder Motley is great. Hes struggling to talk like I still do but hes progressing and really has a desire to work. Im a lucky companion.

Coming Home From Stake Conference

Oh, so Stake Conference was special. We received a broadcast from Salt Lake where a Seventy, 2nd Counselor in the YM Presidency, Elder Soares from the First Presidency of the Seventy, the Brasil Presidency, and Elder Ballard spoke. Looking the list you can probably assume it was on Missionary Work. It was absolutely stunning and inspiring. After a super long and rough morning, thats what sparked the afternoon run. I need to study notes and find scripts of it sometime.

I love you so much Mom and am super stoked for next week. Dont forget how much I LOVE YOU!    Until Christmas time! :)

Your Son,
Elder Steven Untch
